Locodol - Episode 2
Yukari and Nanako make cable TV commercials. They become semi-famous. They don't get paid for TV time, but they do get a Thank You letter and lots of sweets.
Heh.
Yukari warns Nanako that because they only get one take to do the commercials, the production crew will use that as an excuse to keep the "accidental" panty shots. Cable TV is scary!Aw. Yukari may be pretty, rich, and smart, but she doesn't have any friends except for her cousin.
I think leaving a yuri magazine out counts as trying too hard to accommodate a new friend's unknown tastes.
Nanako's need to do something right makes her freeze up and take her imagined consequences to the absurd.
"What if I play it off with a funny reaction and that's all the town remembers of me forever?" I was rolling.
Nanako still can't sign off her video spots without messing up her name as "Nyanyako," but the promise of good food always cheers her up.
Nice. The rehearsal for eating the sweet cakes was the actual take. It all worked out.
I think the stern looking owner of the sweets shop knew that he was making the girls nervous and stepped out to help them out, not that he was bored or frustrated with the proceedings. He seemed to like how they reacted to his baked goods with the nice Thank You letter, the framed picture, and the big boxes of sweets he sent over to the government office.
Geh.
Themed eye catch continues. They were killing wasps, but I'll take the bee cosplay. I guess people put honey on pancakes...
And you can't forget the screen wipes.
Hmm.
They don't get paid for the TV spots? And still just hourly wages for the concerts and live events? Small budget in the PR office for Nagarekawa. It makes you realize that most local news coverage, except for crime reports, really are just commercials for local businesses. The little 5 minute news spots that Yukari and Nanako shot this episode promoted the local exterminator and the traditional Japanese sweets shop, under the guise of news and a food review. At least they know their roles as Local Idols.
