Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! Ren - Episode 7

Yuuta's and Rikka's exclusive free time gets interrupted by a Shichimiya in distress. Dekomori discovers the Mori Summer website. Isshiki photobombs.

Yuuta's and Rikka's alone time is going great, and they even make plans to take the romantic ferry ride across to the volcano. Unfortunately for them, Shichimiya's school is also visiting Tsukishino Island in Kyuushuu, and she's lost her purse. Rikka knows how to help her out and quickly get back to their own plans.

Here's a hundred bucks, now scram. Well, Yuuta has to be the responsible one, and they all retrace Shichimiya's steps to track down her bag.

Meanwhile, after getting photobombed by Isshiki, Shinka has been trying to get a call into Dekomori to have her explain this Mori Summer website that's becoming popular. Dekomori has no idea what she's talking about. After she wakes up, and remembers the slip of paper that got stuck in her bag's side pocket, she goes there, and is totally surprised by the depth of the site and the accurate words of the Mabinogion. She wonders if this site was made by the Real Mori Summer! She awaits a message back from a chat box proving knowledge of the arcane Mabinogion and when it arrives... we'll have to wait for another episode. My guess? The answer is correct, but the site is put together by the stalker we saw in the background in episode 2 and 4. She had a very Shinka-like hairstyle and hairpin, but how she's related, we don't know yet.

Yuuta, Rikka, and Shichimiya find her purse, but before they can pick it up, a monkey comes by and starts pawing it. Showing off the teamwork Yuuta and Shichimiya used to have, they retrieve the bag, but get chased by an angry monkey. With Rikka following, they pick themselves up from a fall, and Shichimiya gives Yuuta an old medallion from their old days as a thank you present for once again being her Hero. Rikka happens upon them right as this is happening, and her bout of jealousy mixes with her chuunibyou delusions, and she thinks Yuuta has made another contract, and runs off crying.

Shichimiya and Yuuta split up to find Rikka, who has been picked up by Shinka and her friends, but Shichimiya angles Rikka to find her so they can have a heart-to-heart about Yuuta. She explains to Rikka that she did fall in love with him in the middle of all their adventures together, and she wanted something more, but she saw that Yuuta only cared about the adventure, and would never see her as more than a teammate. She swallowed her crush on Yuuta, and turned those feelings into the triumphant smirk and laugh she has when she's enjoying her made up world. She convinces Rikka that Yuuta looks at her differently than he ever looked at her own self.

Shichimiya times her exit just right as Yuuta finally catches up to Rikka. After the girl-talk, Rikka is doing better, although she doesn't tell Yuuta what they talked about, so this gives Yuuta a chance to show the real importance of their date. It's Rikka's birthday, and he brought her presents. She's got a new umbrella that she can use as her Schwarz Shield and a black pendant that might have the Dark Flame Master's power in it. They don't make it to the volcano, but they can try to extinguish it from the dock. In the end, Rikka tells Yuuta she loves him. Awww.
