10 Second Anime - Freezing Vibration - Episode 6

Freezing Vibration - Episode 6

NSFW for disturbing imagery of sexual abuse

Satella believes she has to endure her half-brother's abuse again to receive help from the el Bridget family to expose the failure of the E-Pandora program. Kazuya stands up to Louis and his Pandora partner Holly Rose.

Satella hasn't seen her brother Louis for four years, and for good reason. When she was taken in to live with the el Bridget family, after the death of her mother who was the mistress of her father, Louis tormented her using the emotional extortion of keeping her in the household if she put up with his abuse. She became the Untouchable Queen in the Genetics schools because she couldn't be touched by any boys who could become her Limiter. Kazuya is still not officially her Limiter because they haven't gone through the baptism ritual.

In the first season, I wondered why someone with her Pandora powers would tolerate Louis' behavior, and just chalked it up to the family issues involved with being a love-child and needing to belong somewhere. However, Louis is revealed to be a Limiter himself, with his partner being the top-ranked British Pandora Holly Rose. When we are introduced to her, she seems very passive, in contrast to the other Pandoras we've seen who treat their Limiters as subordinates or even boy-toys.

As Louis begins tormenting Satella again, this time extorting her acquiescence in exchange for his help with convincing their parents to take on the Chevalier Corporation, we hear some extra power in his voice. It's as if he has been using his Limiter powers on her to control her, which might explain Holly's deference to him as well. Kazuya and Louis will have a reckoning after he refuses his bribe to abandon Satella. Louis also might be surprised at Kazuya's limiting power, which not only works on multiple Pandoras, which is rare in itself, but can also freeze other Limiters. I'm looking forward to some comeuppance.

I want to note some obvious but still effective imagery during the episode. Satella lying on her bed, with her bandages matching up to the stigmata from Jesus' crucifixion, readying herself to make a sacrifice for the sake of the normal girls who might die after having the Mark IV implants installed. And Kazuya, leaving Satella's room, after seeing the marks on her, looking on the tower where her room is, as if she is an imprisoned princess locked in that tower, needing rescue. Obvious, but still good.
