Cross Ange - Episode 3



Ange causes the deaths of 3 colleagues. While fighting the injured Dragon the next time, Ange activates her mother's ring, and the antique mecha she's given.

Heh.

They don't pull any punches in this show. When you die, you die, badly.

Ange is directly responsible for the deaths of those two newbies and her captain. Especially Captain Zola. Using a mecha to cling to her other mecha as if she were a lifeguard, that's some crazy kind of panicking.

I liked how they made Ange bury those three pilots. That's some extra punishment for someone already imprisoned for life.

With Zola dead, we're not going to get scenes like this anymore.



But if Ange keeps getting sexually aroused while she fights Dragons, we can get more of this.



I guess the censored scene in the last episode was Zola playing with hard nipples under Ange's shirt. Prudes.

I'm already reminded of Ikkitousen with this show. Nope, not the gore, though we had that, but the poor bladder control.



I'm not sure that Ange needs some of these bandages.



Well, better safe than sorry, I guess.

At the end, Ange decides to honor the gift of pudding. Yay! But then she starts crying, not because she's overwhelmed by the loss of Coco, or all that just happened, but because the pudding tastes terrible. Hah! This show totally does not take itself seriously.

Geh.

Wow. Zola died hard. Zola died badly.

Hmm.

We've reached the end of the beginning. Now Ange looks like she does in the credits with her short hair, after she cut it to start a new chapter in her life. Anime loves showing that scene for girls.

Commander Jill knows more about this antique mecha that runs on mana and the blood of Norma. I want to know what she knows. This could be the other interesting thing about this show. The first interesting thing being beautiful girls being ugly to each other.

Some big changes have been happening to Ange's former empire too, if we can believe Jill that the other nations rejected Ange's letters because they don't recognize this old empire anymore. A royal family enforcing apartheid but hypocritically sparing their daughter might cause some revolutionary upheaval.

With the end of the beginning, I don't know where this story really goes. We'll need to see some explanation of this weird mecha that Ange now pilots. And we'll need to find out about what's going on in her old country and what kind of revolt is happening there. Maybe Ange will learn to like the taste of pudding. I'm not betting on that last one.
