Kazuma died on the battlefield, but before the goddess Eris resurrected him, she chastised him for fondling her "follower," the thief Chris. (It's the same person.) Eris then warned him why a demon army attacked the kingdom's castle: an artifact that switches bodies. And Princess Iris had already been wearing it! Kazuma accidentally activated it because its inscription was in Japanese! Eris told him the effect was temporary, so he and Iris took advantage of it. Kazuma played Princess in the bath with Darkness and Claire. The situation was entirely different than his adventure with Darkness in the bath at home when he thought the busty noblewoman was a succubus in his dreams.
Meanwhile, Princess Iris took a tour of her city disguised as Kazuma. Unfortunately, Megumin accompanied her and provoked a group of thin-skinned adventurers. Kazuma may have received punches in the face before, but Iris never had.
