Kazuma felt traumatized by a female demon sticking him in her chest at the end of the second season. He thought his springtime of female attention was over, so he decided on a drastic course of action: entering a monastery. His housemates followed him on his trip to dissuade him. Aqua, Darkness, and Megumin did their usual complaining, masochism, and explosions. Kazuma felt better after he recovered a magic hammer that dropped gold coins, and Chris welcomed him back to town.
