Marie's former magic teacher Alka insisted she take one of her village's young men as a boarder as he applied to hero school. Unfortunately for Marie, Alka's village is the one next to the world's last dungeon peopled with descendants of the world's greatest heroes. Poor Lloyd Belladonna thinks he's the weakest one in the village, which may be true, but he can destroy whole nations by himself.
A young noblewoman named Selen was born with a cursed belt that could not be removed from her head. She had a prophecy that "strength would lift her curse." Lloyd's handkerchief, enchanted with an ancient rune that disenchants everything. Saving Selen from a monster grasshopper he called an "insect" was her fated meeting with "strength."
Lloyd was nervous on the day of the entrance exams for the hero academy and talked with mercenary Riho Flavin who was freaking out about the monster aura he had. The newly beautiful Selen turned into a yandere lover who made sure Riho stayed away from him.
