Tatsuya’s faction crosses paths with the Sirius team as they both pursue the vampiric serial murderers.

It took a couple of episodes, but Mahouka finally gave us an incest joke scene between Miyuki and Tatsuya. The background music sells it well. We also saw a quick flash of interest from Mayumi, inviting Tatsuya to accompany her that night, but her fiancé Juumonji shut down that noise quick. Everybody loves Tatsuya Shiba in Mahouka.

Angelina had a couple of nice moments too, showing us her teenage girl sensibilities when she’s supposed to be America’s hardass superweapon. Her complaint about Japanese kids being so strong when Erika cut her, and Tatsuya dismantled her offensive magic. What will she say after Tatsuya disabled her disguise projection magic? We’ll find out in the next Mahouka episode.

Tatsuya’s Martial Arts master will beat him down. This technique will become important. Cocoon Water Mirage, he calls it. The Master can use Tatsuya’s ability to instantly read spells against him. Ah. The illusion spell fools “spirits” not people, but he used it as a distraction against Tatsuya. It’s just a way for the Master to explain spiritual beings so we know that Angelina isn’t the only “visitor” to Tokyo.

Tatsuya already thinks the “vampires” came from America. When did he start thinking that? Angie Sirius is in hot pursuit. The dude couldn’t stop Angie Sirius’s moving blade. The spell was too powerful? Uh oh. Erika takes on Angie Sirius while Mikihiko fights the parasite. Oh man, don’t mess with Mikihiko. Oops, spoke too soon. Meanwhile, Angie Sirius blasted Erika away from her. Just in time. Tatsuya nullified everyone’s magic. Sirius should sit this one out now. Not. Tatsuya needs to figure out her illusion spell first.

Erika put a nice cut on Sirius’s shoulder. Claire and Rachel look exhausted. At least they came away with one of the defectors’ bodies. Angelina complains to herself about how strong Erika was! Oh? Tatsuya believes Angelina uses a spell from her Japanese family Kudou, one the of the Ten Master Clans.

Mayumi and Juumonji gave their puzzle pieces to Tatsuya. The case of the vampire murders will end very soon now. All this info deep diving makes Miyuki tired. This schmaltzy music in Mahouka always cracks me up. It’s like they’re lovers in a melodramatic 30’s romance movie.

Tatsuya has a strange looking gun. The music tells me we’re about to have an action set piece, but the episode is near the end. Is he just going to fire that thing and expose Angelina’s disguise? Oh. The gun was for the parasite. He used his own CAD gun to blow away Angelina’s spell. There she is!
