A camera moto follows the fast breakaway of the day, which included eventual stage winner Tim Wellens of Lotto Soudal.
One of the fun things to see in a bike race since cameras first rode along with the following motorcycles is the speedometers of those machines to gauge how fast the pro cyclists are going. In the age of digital screens, this is even more clear than a needle on a vibrating dial.
Speaking of winner Tim Wellens, overall leader Primos Roglic saw him behind the podium stage when he rolled in a few minutes later, and it's clear that the COVID-19 etiquette of elbow or fist bumps hasn't totally caught on yet, making for sometimes awkward exchanges of congratulations.
