Souma made his final round dish for Erina more than the judges or her mother. Mana quickly realized how much feeling Souma put into his cooking for her daughter. The whole stadium did too, since he awakened Erina's on God Tongue Gifting power. Everyone getting naked was like a foodgasm retrospective of the entire Shokugeki no Soma series.
Erina quickly got back on track after tasting Souma's dish. These two cooking for each other was the whole point of the show.
The BLUE after party played mainly as an epilogue with Erina easily beating Souma with a mystery dish and Azami admitting to Erina and Mana that he had fathered a child in America when he was depressed over failing to keep Joichirou at Tohtsuki. Yeah. Cringe over how Erina's half brother was Saiba and he wanted to marry her... Well, it wasn't love. Saiba only wanted to follow Joichirou's advice of finding someone he loved to cook for.
Souma couldn't accept how Erina defeated him, so he went on a culinary journey for six months. He returned to the Yukihira Diner when he felt he was ready and Erina was overjoyed to see him again. Not that she could admit it openly. And all his friends showed up too, just in time to try his newly improved disgusting peanut butter squid with habaƱero and other things. It's a mystery to what Souma had planned to cook for Erina, but she was happy to try anything he made for her.
Food Wars or Shokugeki no Soma ended with mixed feelings. Not only that, the anime didn't animate the extra epilogue chapters of the manga, but this high school version captured the flavor. It's not like the anime fans needed to know how all the kids settled into their cooking careers ten years after graduating from Tohtsuki Academy. The last three anime seasons were terribly cheap animation productions, but the acting and writing still captured how Souma was always meant to be the Demon King of the cooking world and how the best cooking technique was cooking for someone you love. Thank you for the meal!
