The school idol club started to notice that they were becoming popular. Karin noticed this when fans asked for her autograph because they saw her idol videos instead of her modeling pictures and how they loved the implied yuri when "Setsuna" hid behind her. Other schools noticed too, and two of them invited the idols to the Diver Fes, a live concert held nearby in Odaiba.
The music festival presented a problem to the group because they could only perform three songs, but the nine of them had chosen the solo idol route. That meant at most only three girls could sing, so they had to decide who among them would perform. Meanwhile, we got to see Karin being a cool model and cute lost girl. Charming!
As friendly rivals in the idol club that meant it was okay to be selfish. Mainly because this was the ninth episode, it was Karin's turn to sing. She seemed ready to go, but Himeno, from a powerhouse school idol club, put extra pressure on Karin and caused some stage fright. The other girls found and bucked her spirit up. The high-fives were the alternative for the all-hands-in rituals most idol groups do, but we saw who the OTP's were in this little exchange.
Befitting her modeling poise, Karin sang in the Style type, bringing the sexy in with a sultry voice and smooth moves. Yuu, the biggest fan of all the girls watched from the crowd. Men were rare in the first two generations of Love Live!, but they're nonexistent in Love Live! Nijigasaki.
