10 Second Anime - Owarimonogatari - Episode 4

Hanekawa prevents Ougi from joining her and Araragi's visit to Sodachi's home.

"Sodachi Lost"

Heh.

I literally jumped out of my seat when I saw Ougi's hand! That is the first time I've ever seen it in any of the animated series and the black gloves (or whatever...) really sold the creepiness.

There really wasn't that much happening in the episode. Both Sodachi and Senjougahara had not come back to school since their little tiff in the classroom, so the class president (Hanekawa) and her vice president (Araragi, of course) decided to see if they were really okay. Ougi tried to insinuate herself into Araragi's visit to Sodachi and Hanekawa successfully deflected her attempt.

But! Ougi and Hanekawa had a full on girl fight with words! Araragi had real trouble being caught up with Ougi's powers of suggestion and the awkwardness of his loyalty to Hanekawa.

The exchange revealed quite a bit about Ougi but all in a sideways fashion. She really did not want Araragi to have anything more to do with Sodachi. She wanted to keep whatever door she thought she had closed, closed.

Also, Ougi appears to know only what Araragi knows. Very interesting.

Unfortunately for her, Hanekawa has some practice saving Araragi from women who don't have his best interests at heart. Unfortunately for Hanekawa, Ougi forced her to use her most powerful weapons against Araragi's attention span.

The power of oppai compels him! Well, he said he was convinced about how strongly Hanekawa did not want Ougi to join him by her bringing up the subject of her luscious breasts, but we know. You know, I know. He wants to touch those breasts!

Considering how unscathed Hanekawa came out of her verbal battle with Ougi, I was surprised at how frazzled she looked after only about a minute of talking with Sodachi at her door. Poor Araragi. He'll have to talk to Sodachi in her pajamas.

The Japanese sure are superstitious about their homonym puns. The kanji for death is 死, pronounced シ (shi). The kanji for the number 4 is 四, also pronounced シ. So having Sodachi's address be 444 is like hitting the jackpot for death. Nothing bad could be happening in her apartment, right? Right...
