That was a nice conversation Elen had with Tigre to remind him how he continues through adversity. While Elen has pride in battle as a War Maiden, Tigre has mettle, battle tested resilience. Hunters have only themselves and their bow to rely on, and at heart, that's what Tigre the backwoods duke has always been.

 

Well, the prime minister making a surprise visit made all that work to prove Regin the princess seem unnecessary.

 

Mashas got a kick out of Tigre using his honest negotiating style to make the Prime Minister Badouin want to keep his land in the hands of Brune.

 

Whoo! Elen and Lim used to be mercenaries.

Oh man, Bertrand. Don't go strewing death flags all over the floor of Tigre's tent! Titta has to clean that up.

This episode had to front load all the funny sexy moments because we were going to a dark place near the end, figuratively and literally. Good thing nobody was claustrophobic, although some people might be after that cave in.

It appears all the candidates who are in the running to share Tigre's bed now know not to wake him up with blood lust.

For a second there, I thought we were going to have the second season of Full Metal Panic Fumoffu with Sousuke stuck in his suit.

Seiya and Moffle know entertainment. Hilarious how they both pronounced, verbatim, Tricen a boring director making a boring video. We saw how in sync they were from the second episode when Seiya could see through Moffle's attacks, but was always prevented from counterattacking by Isuzu.

Isuzu is bothered by those thighs. I'm not. Not at all.

Did Gou-chan slip into a Koboli costume?

The park makes the attendance quota with help from the staff's friends. Latifa's curse is postponed by the park's success. Seiya stays on to see the Amagi Brilliant Park reach new heights.

Heh.

I love a show that rewards people who pay attention to all the little details. Pretty much everything through the last 11 episodes that seemed to be thrown in for a chuckle, spice, or character introduction was brought back during the parade of friends and family to make up the 252 person shortfall. Even the celebration montage called back many of those same things.

 

I had hoped for the ultimate happy end, but expected the hopeful happy end. The show split the difference by postponing Latifa's curse. I was right about the development company executive being the wizard, so there is still magic stuff in the background to worry about. It's also not a coincidence that if the park had hit its attendance goal of 500,000 every year, then Latifa wouldn't have felt the effects of the Animus curse. We got the barest hint that the magic blooming tree would be important and so it was. Get enough happy people into the park and Latifa gets to remember all the good times and grow up.

 

Everybody assumed that Seiya was the savior of the park.

Madara pulls the tailed beasts inside the Gedo statue. Naruto begins to die after the 9-tailed demon is pulled out of him. Kurama and Gaara have a plan to save him.

I think I've mentioned before that Madara is just plain mean. He knows that Tobirama is a reanimation, so "killing" him doesn't really solve anything. But he still throws a rod right at his head because Tobirama killed his little brother Izuna. I guess it was the principle.

Look at how many people were concerned with Naruto dying, especially Hinata. Compare with how many cared that Sasuke was dying too. Only Karin. Well, I guess Sakura doesn't know at this point, but nobody cared enough to notice and tell her. Suck it Sasuketards. The name on the show is Naruto for a reason.

All those years with Obito and Tobi Zetsu never found out what it feels like to poop? Come on. Come on, now.

We saw Naruto in shock from Kurama being pulled out of him, but we didn't see what happened to Killer B. The old octopus arm trick again? Isn't it funny that the first time we saw Killer B and Gyuuki use it was when Sasuke and his Taka (Falcon) group took the beast's chakra for Akatsuki?

Speaking of Taka.

Madara recovers one of his Rinnegan and immediately sets about returning the tailed beasts to the Gedo statue.

Heh.

Madara is mean. He belittles Obito for taking years to collect the tailed beasts within the Gedo statue, saying he'll do it in a few seconds. All of the beasts are right in front of him and only two are still within their jinchuuriki. Obito had to assemble a team strong enough to capture jinchuuriki alive from wherever they were scattered and then extract them through the use of Pain by Nagato. Show a little gratitude and respect for the effort. Sheesh.

 

Killer Bee and the 8-tails have escaped extraction before because of the properties of an octopus based animal (really a starfish arm, but an arm is an arm in anime, roll with it) but Naruto has never been this close to having Kurama taken from him.

 

Madara is like Jason from the Friday the 13th movies, just busting out of death pits when you think you got him.

 

One thing fun about a pictographic alphabet is the visual puns that cultures make out of their words.

At least Arakita gave his last spark in pushing his team past the sprint point line.

 

Hiroshima must have been really punching above their weight if even the Sohoku and Hakone guys they passed earlier made it to the front before they did.

 

Arakita knows talent when he sees it. He called Onoda and Manami "wonder boys."

 

Manami has no fear of Arakita the Wolf.

Stinky jokes from not bathing had me laughing throughout the episode.

All the people who needed killing, got their killing. Especially Onest. His head got beaten in by Leone Mai Waifu, without the benefit of her Emperor's Tool. I'm still mad she bled to death. Just another aspect of that Japanese ending.

 

Akame's and Esdeath's fight was everything I hoped it would be. From Akame having to use her trump card, to multiple fake outs, to just an all out brawl by this show's two strongest fighters.

Regin the refugee turns out to be related to the king, but needs to go to Ganelon's capital to prove her identity. Mira and Elen work together to defeat Thenardier's new dragons.

Whoa whoa whoa! Things are moving fast in this episode.

I was right. That blonde refugee is the child of the King. But they gave us a great revelation about Regin the refugee. She's actually the Prince that was supposed to have been killed in the first episode! Not only has Regin been pretending to be a boy since even the last time Tigre met her 10 years before, but she also pretended to be dead after that battle where Tigre was taken prisoner by Elen. She was attacked by assassins during a surprise night raid, so she didn't know who had wanted her dead. You know what? I still don't know who has been sending those assassins after Tigre or Mira.

 

Ganelon appears to be some kind of wizard, using magic to either predict the future or spy on others' actions. His whole deal with moving against the King and Alsace was trying to get as far as he could before Thenardier had new dragons ready. Because Tigre went down South to stop the Muozinel invasion instead of Thenardier, his plans went to pot, and he burned his whole capital city down instead of meeting Thenardier and his dragons. That guy doesn't care about his citizens at all!

 

One War Maiden has been feeling a little antsy in her pantsy hearing about this red haired dude gathering other War Maidens to his harem. Valentina quickly discovers how all this happened.

Aw. That was a touching moment in hugging Yuuki through a little camera on Asuna's shoulder.

 

Asuna's mom is a bit of a silver fox. Kirito should be so lucky if Asuna fills those, ah, boots the same way when she gets older.

This show's pattern of using the final scene of each episode and the title of the next episode in the after credits as the preview was all for this episode. This was the payoff for those fun little scenes. It was a great cliffhanger and totally spoiler free. Good job.

Congratulations go to this show too for totally faking me out with how they were going to use the stadium. I thought for sure they were somehow going to use the Elemental Fairies giving a flash mob concert through Sylphy's viral video fans, but piggybacking on a popular soccer club's exhibition match was remarkably mundane for a show steeped in magic. Seiya had warned us how little viral video translates into attendance, so maybe there's still something there in this plot point.

We had a nice scene showing how Seiya had gained the confidence of the staff when announcing a hard decision to ensure the economic viability of the park. It was a marked contrast to how he posed himself as a villain in the first episode to give the cast members someone to focus their frustrations on as a source of motivation. Sylphy showed support, in her own random way.

It took 391 episodes, but the true Big Bad of the entire Naruto Shippuuden story finally appeared. You mean Madara? Oh no no no no. Wait. If you haven't read the manga, disregard that. A fully resurrected Madara is now the Big Bad.

Hey, that bright star pattern that Naruto super duper rasen shuriken made that helped Hashirama weaken Madara enough is not the first time we've seen it. We've actually been seeing it all this time in the opening credits since the beginning of the season. I'm impressed at the planning of this show. I'm going to miss it when it probably ends next Summer.

Madara's plan is finally back on schedule without a wishy-washy Obito hedging his regrets by only reanimating him. He only set the plan back by about 12 hours.

Reanimated Hashirama still beat a reanimated Madara. The first Hokage was still the better ninja. But now there's no one left to stand toe to toe with a fully alive Madara with transplanted Senju cells. How demoralizing that he's going to be kicking everyone's ass totally blind.

Yeah! Those Rinnegan he had were only paper Rinnegan from the Impure Reanimation jutsu. Obito has one of his real Rinnegan. But where is the other one? Ooh, plot point!
